Dismantling AI Safety: Power, Intelligence, and Gender
In this seminar, Ninell Oldenburg from the Center for Philosophy of AI presents her preliminary PhD research on "AI Safety" and "AI Existential Risk" ideologies. She touches on three papers exploring: 1) sociotechnical imaginaries, 2) intelligence assumptions, and 3) gendered epistemologies in the AI Safety literature. Afterwards, two respondents and the audience provide feedback. The schedule is as follows:
